That emerald green is a beautiful colour isn't it?

If you plan on starting a new batch right away, clean those jars outside and be careful not to bring any spores back into your work area.

Just for the info....the 6 jars that got contaminated I used sweet and low mixed in the substrate. The jars were 90% colonized after a WEEK! All 6 of them. The other jars I did without sweet and low were barely starting.

Shroomism: How did you sterlize?
I hope the sweet and low isnt contaminate prone. My jars both did great, one got a small spot of contam on one, but before it got a chance to grow, i cased the "clean" mycelium. The casing is doing EXTREMELY well. It may have something to do witht he bird seed recipe too, i used PF substrate. If you do try it again, try using 1 packet per 2 jars.
