Whats the rules on touching the cakes?

Does it do any permenant harm if you touch them by hand? How about with gloves?

I did a search of both the site and and the forum and it came up with nothing so sorry if this a repeat question.

Peace - Jutboy

you can handle your cakes after they are fully colonized.

I sugggest washing your hands first...before doing so.

Cakes are pretty resistant to contam's once they are colonized - I'd still use gloves though.

I have never used gloves once they are fully conolized, just make sure that your hands are clean and you should be alright.

Yep wash your hands with antibacterial soap first and you'll be just fine.

Washing your hand with soap works best, as others have stated a fully colonized cake is pretty resilient.

Also remember that 95% of the bacteria and other pathogens on your hands are under your fingernails so be sure to keep them trim and clean with a scrub brush for best precautions.

Hand sanitizer is fine, but if you were to go under the knife, you would probably feel better knowing your surgeon has washed their hand and not just used a couple drops of Purel...hehe!
