P. Cubenis and Crimini -- Can the same tek be used?
    #15063875 - 09/11/11 05:45 PM (13 years, 4 months ago)

Do these different species require different treatment/food (straw/compost/manure)?  If not, are there ANY edibles that can be grown the same way as cubes (i'm talking indoor here)?

some edibles work okay in PF tek, like oysters.

i am growing agaricus bisporus, and they did not grow in BRF cakes... but i came up with adding manure compost and marijuana stems to my substrate and they are colonizing nicely.

if this will be your first edible grow, i'd reccomend something else, criminis (AKA button mushrooms and portabello mushrooms) can be tough, and require a bit cooler temps than cubensis.

it's possible but not on straight BRF and not nearly as quick as cubes.

Can they both be grown in corn and manure?
