Used AA 915?

Looking at purchasing a used AA 915. I have no experience using a pressure cooker at all. I have a couple of quick questions if someone would be so kind as to help me out.
1) Is there anything in particular I should be looking for/at when buying a used AA 915?
2) I have read various different reports stating that these things shouldn't be used on flat top (ceramic) stoves. I have also read several reports of people using them without incident. Any advice in that regard would really help.
3) Finally, if it is in good shape, do you think $60 is worth it?
Thanks

2) Many people use them without incident, but it is recommended in the manufacturers book for the PC`s to not run them on ceramic or glass top stoves. The way I see it a stove can run from $400-500+ dollars. A cheap portable stove top(1300W) will cost you $20 and will stop you from having to risk damage to your stove top.
The major concerns are the weight of the PC fully loaded on the top, as well if the PC`s bottom is larger then the ceramic or glass element the heat will tend to move into the glass surrounding the burner which can easily cause a crack.
A lot of people say they use them without incident, and I am sure they do, but my question is how many people who use it for years without problem, then their stove top cracks come back to the forums and let us all know that their luck eventually ran out?

Thanks EM666, I appreciate the input. Should I decide to go this way (with an AA pressure cooker) I will probably just buy a single burner hot plate.
