Knot question...

I'm starting a huge bulk grow, and my whole concern is yield. I'm still working with MS, So I'm just keeping my fingers crossed, and praying for lots of pins and shrooms! I just have 1 tub that's fruiting right now, and I'm literally waiting on my harvest like a check in the mail...
But I have a question I've been trying to get an answer to with no avail. My mono has been in fruiting since Thursday morning, and I have been watching it every day. So I looked at it yesterday morning, and thousands of tiny little balls had formed, which I believed to be knots (this is my 1st bulk grow, so I've never see what knots in a mono look like), So I got excited, but didn't know for sure...
Well I just went back and looked at the tub about an hour ago, and a few of the knots have formed tiny little brown heads. So I know they are knots now... My question is, Will all those knots turn into pins? Or will only a certain percentage of em turn into pins? I mean, I know you can't ever predict how many pins will form, but what I'm asking is, is it common for most or all of the knots you see form turn into pins? or is it just gonna be a random number of em turn into pins?
I'm REALLY hoping all those knots is a good sign that I'm in store for a MEGA flush, cuz even if half those knots turned into pins and matured, I'd have about 1,500 shrooms to harvest... There's probably at LEAST 3,000 knots plainly visible on the surface, so what does that mean?

you are working with MS that is you're biggest consideration. you're flushes will have nothing to do with eachother, think of them as different graduating classes.
what is you're sub? if you are working with straw/poo or just straw you can expect most of your pins to become shrooms. if you're working with straw only make sure you keep things clean.
if you get pins that abort, keep those bastards, they are potent by weight. if i had my way i'd buy my mush by weight in aborts. hell yeah.
if you can work with agar this time do some clones, look for clusters. use the same sub with the cloned clusters, you'll get big flushes. don't worry my friend, all the hard work is over, now just sit back and enjoy the show
from my experience knots are a good indication however space is important. you will not have 3000 mushrooms... sorry. i know it sucks. sounds like you're on to a good flush. let us see a pic or six

It would be pointless... They are WAY too small for my shitty camera phone to show... But I'm using coir/verm/gypsum/oyster shell for my sub...SO how will that do? if you want, check out my bulk mono grow log in my sig. It has all the info on what I'm doing and there's a good bit of pics too

i've never used a coir/verm/gypsum/oyster sub however; the FACT that you've got all those knots and come pins means you've done some right things. right now you need patience. i promise the hard part is over. now that you've got pins make sure your humidity is up and your fresh air exchange happens at least four times a day without drying things out. the substrate at this point is providing nutes. are you casing with verm? the only advice i can give is to look at it less.

Never. Well, hardly ever. They just do that to piss you off.
Well maybe not. SOME people claim that all the pins that form through all the flushes are there before the first flush fruits. I don't think so. The myc makes as many knots as it can, and then from those knots it makes as many pins as it can, and then makes as many fruits as it can. But nothing stops it from making more knots and more pins in future flushes, though it's hard to figure out any way to be sure about when they actually form.

Well It's a Monotub, So I never open it or anything. I just look thru the lid... It has polyfil stuffed holes, 2 on each side right above the sub, and it seems to be working great. i'm not gonna even open it until I'm ready to harvest, I just hope I get a full canopy flush. If I can just get half of those knots to fully mature, I'll be in the game!!!
