Take it outside and the trich will clear up on it's own.

Not to mention the obvious...when you toss it outside you'll still get more fruits (as long as its not too cold in your area)

Yup. I took to small pans of WBS outside that were stricken with a horrible case if trich. Planted them in the ground( out of the pans) and got two more good flushes.

Lucky bastard...I wish New York had weather like that, but didn't I hear on the news that Fl is getting hit with a bad storm right now?
Anyways, just dig a small little hole a plop the substrate into it. You can put a thin layer of dirt on top of it if you want, maybe some water (not sure about that part so don't take my word) and just leave it.
I've never actually done this so if someone experienced says something different then take their word, but I believe my knowledge is correct

I'm honestly not sure with the straw ball but with my two cased pans of WBS I just dug a hole deep enough that the top of the casing was even with the top of the ground. In the shade of course and I watered frequently. The straw ball is a little more difficult due to it's spherical shape. I'm thinking maybe you could cut it in half and plant it in the ground with the fresh cut flat side facing up. Should work. I've also heard of jut setting it outside in the shade, waiting for the trich to dissipate and then bringing it back inside to your fruiting chamber. I think it would depend if the trich was just surface or embedded inside your ball. One thing is for sure..... Fresh air is your best defense against the green monster.

I do live in mid east Florida and weve got four inches in the last 24 hours and it's supposed to continue through Monday at least. By the end of the week it will be time to hit the pasture!
