cakes to bulk

we have 9 cakes in our fc some on the first flush some are on their second. can i do 50/50 coir tek with these cakes? is it to late to transfer them to bulk? we are headed out of town in a week was hoping to slice them up put them in some trays and be done with them while we are gone only leaving for 5 days but what are my alternatives?

It's best to crumble them to bulk as soon as they are birthed. You could try it, but odds are there are all sorts of mold spores and bacteria just sitting on your cake. Fully colonized substrate is pretty contaminate resistant. I would suggest using a cheese grater if you really plan on spawning to bulk.
