Spore Print Right to Inocculation (Zip Lock SP)
    #15167692 - 10/02/11 03:43 PM (13 years, 3 months ago)

Hey guys! I got a spore print from my first cake that fruited and used the biggest fruit. Put the cap inside a zip lock and laid it on it's side for 24 hours. I got a very good print. I noticed it was still wet. I sterilized a syringe and shot the water into the ziplock and the print dissolved within the water. I used MultiSync's Lazy Bastard Print/syringe guide found HERE I thought this tech absolutely worked great for my first print.

I sterilized jars last night and inoculated 10 jars this morning. I just looked at the jars and noticed a white fluffy type texture of Mycellium is already covered brf jars. I found this very interesting that it is going this fast. Am I crazy or is it going quicker because the print was originally fresh to start with?

This is my second go at inoculation and I don't remember that layer forming this fast the last time.

I can't imagine mycelium starting to grow in less than a day.  It might be something else.  Hopefully, I'm wrong though. :goodluck:

Here is a pic of it. All my jars look like this. Just a side note, I used a whole spore print in inoculating the jars.

Just inoculated this morning!

It doesn't look snow white to me. Is this contam anyone? I'm too inexperienced to say.

Well maybe I'm crazy lol It just looks like a very thin layer of myc, but I swear it was a darker color before I inoculated.

I don't see any mycelium in that picture.  Just verm and brf. The first signs of mycelium will look like a faint fogging of the jar.  I don't see anything growing in that at all.

Alright I actually have Mycellium growing now in the jars! Sorry for the false alarms. I successfully took my first spore print and inoculated!!
