Maybe its my imagination.. The grey squirrel knocked up a Karo jar (1/2 pint, 1cc Lipa Yai) yesterday jsut before noon. Today I was looking at it and when i swirl it gently I can see tiny white whisps... is that even possible at 24 hours?
200ml spring water spoon of dark karo 1cc lipa yai spores

Ha! this is the first time i've even had spores.. so it is exciting, I almost shat myself when I saw the whisps.
The jars have self healing lids I made, I dont know how well they work, but I'll find out in a few days I suppose. I bought a used microwave pressure cooker (tiny!) but the weight was missing so I am using parts of the seal ring as self healing material... seems to work and held water in an upside down jar with the self heal lid on it, after a needle (18g) had been pushed through each one 5-10 times. Of course I used a new one of the jars I innocculated
