holes eating thru foil pan casings on 2nd dunk

So i had some great casings and flushes in some heavy duty foil pans that went great the first flush. I went to dunk them and 24 hours later when i checked them, the water had leaked everywhere. This happened on two of my casings. I replaced the foil pans and when i looked at them, i noticed small holes had been eaten in them. Idk if it has to do with ph or anything, but kinda weird that any kinda holes would b eaten in these heavy duty foil pans. Anyone have any idea whats happening here?

mycelium can eat thru aluminum and that heavy metal would be depositied in your fruit. you should consider using something else next time.

You'll be fine though, because unlike other heavy metals, aluminum is easily eliminated from the body. So you won't have any kind of negative side effects that you might have if it was any kind of other heavy metal. Aluminum is one of the most abundant metals on the planet, and the body has evolved with it, and evolved to deal with most levels of exposure.
But I still wouldn't make a habit of it. Chronic exposure to aluminum has been loosely linked to several neurological problems, but it's still very debatable, and a single exposure isn't going to do any damage.
