I recently have been hearing rolling is totaly unnecissary as cubes don't benifit from a casing, is this true?

Cubes do benefit from casing:super: They don't require it however, like other mushies.

*"It's up to you if you want to roll in vermiculite after the second flush. If there's still vermiculite stuck to the cake, then it can do its job of absorbing water and supplying it slowly to the mycelium over time. If the mycelium has fully colonized the first batch of vermiculite you rolled in, then go ahead and roll after the second dunk. The idea is to have some uncolonized vermiculite on the sides and top of the cake to absorb water and act as a reservoir for the mycelium." - RR

I've seen him mention rolling after the second dunk a couple of times, actually. This is just the first post I came across. In fact, a sorta recent post, within the last 2 weeks, I've seen RR say to roll between flushes.

Obviously he's contradicted himself.

I've also seen Agar, Damion5050 and a couple other trusted cultivators saying to dunk and roll between each flush. Hey, whatever works for you, man.

Well, good luck in any case.

Moving on.
