Fruiting with PF Tek and length of time...

Hey all, this is my first some posting on here and I have some questions about fruiting. I made it to this point contaminant free and what I thought was so far so good. I have 11 jars in correct humidity and temperature settings, with damn perlite below. They're set up next to a window with lots of afternoon / evening sun as well as a lamp that stays on often. I birthed the cakes a week ago and only three of them are producing any pinheads with one doing exceptionally well with a shroom ready to harvest already. However, the rest aren't doing anything, I've closely inspected and nothing yet. Just wondering if this is common for all the jars to kind of do their own thing or if anyone has any insight of ideas...thanks!

My jars didn't fruit together. They fruited 3 at a time...kind of annoying but didn't hurt anything.

Give them some time and make sure you have adequate fresh air exchange. Did you dunk and roll the cakes?

Each colony will pin in it's own time... I really do wish colonies from spores would all fruit and flush at the same time, that would help me since I use the syringe to fruit method as well.
On another note, I hear strain isolation via LC's is great for synchronizing flushes because the spawn is all identical. I really haven't advanced that far, but it sounds great (it would be a large time commitment for additional research, IMO)
But I suppose just be patient and happy that you won't have to dry all of them at one time (lol, really the only benefit from staggered flushes).
Best of luck! Let us know how they turn out & maybe post a pic or two?
Cheers! Mack

I've been making sure they've been getting good air exchange and fanning them a few times a day. I didn't dunk and roll because my instructions didn't say anything about it and have heard mixed things. Maybe I'll try that next time though. Also, some resources say up to 3 in of perlite and I have about half that. How much of a difference could that make? I'll post some pics as soon as I get a chance!

You should definitely start dunking and rolling after your first flush.
Watch these videos; they are priceless for beginners.

I'll definitely try the dunk and roll after my first flush. As for the cakes that aren't producing anything...could I dunk and roll them now (10 days after birthing) to get em going? The same 3 keep putting out a few little guys here and there but it's the others not doing anything that concerns me.
I'm also going to post a pic later (while not at work) because one cake has weird bulges at the bottom that keep growing however, has a few mushrooms growing on top.

You need like 4 inches (or more) of soaked Perlite in there...
If youve got myc growing in puffs then you dont have enough FAE.
withough good FAE youll get small shrooms with really long skinny stems....
Post some pics... It helps everyone here help you better
