hey yall its been a looong time since my last post, but ive been lurkin around. probably because its been so long since my last trip. Im always nervous before a trip, and im also tripping alone tonite which i try not to do (my bad trips have always been when tripping alone) so basically id really apreciate if anyone had some basic tips om how to stay calm, or like some cool trippy qoutes to meditate on.. like whatever you feel like people should do or now about shroomsh... thatd be awesome.

Don't forget to take slow deep breathes when you feel a little unnervered. If that doesn't help try wrapping up in a big comfy blanket.

Make sure you're well-slept and don't have any obligations the next morning if taken at night! I speak from experience!

good post, i like this one.
I wish someone would have told me not to get drunk and trip at a party were my best friend who is the only girl i've ever loved is going to be fighting with her boyfriend all night and not to get involved with the whole drama thing and spill every deep secret feeling and emotion i have ever represed on the whole group of tripping people then go sit in the shower in the bathroom and talk some more to my other friends girlfriend who is also freaking out about how we are the only people the ttwo of us can trust and how everyone else is evil and out to get us and wants to decieve us into thinking they are our friends.
Um, sorry. I also wish they would have told me that if i tripped at the same party that my brother was at, he for sure would know i was on drugs(I was at the time trying my hardest and being sucessfull at hiding my drug use from him)

i knew almost everything about shrooms before i did them, I think this helped me enjoy all the shroom trips i've had a great deal. It is also another reason why i've never had any bad trips or even bad thoughts while im tripping

That whatever you expect the trip will be like, it will be like nothing you can possibly expect!
and
That no matter what happens, always remember that you've taken a drug thats responsible for what you are experiencing (I am close to forgetting cause I was tripping so hard, and nearly lost it!).

I wish no one had told me anything about shrooms
I new a whole lot about the psychedelic experience and another lot about mushrooms in general.......I studied fo almost a year before doing it.......
When I say studied, I really mean it........every day during the past year I dedicated one hour to study "things" about mushrooms.....I read every single post, mainly in the trip tips.....
When I finally ate my mushrooms and had a good experience (I?d say level 2.8) my trip was sort of guided, like I knew everything that was going to happen and when this would happen........I didn?t just relax and lei it go, I tried to know when I was peaking and when I was coming down........I just knew everything that was gonna happen to me so it was sort of "ok, that?s exactly what I expected"
I?d say it?s good to know what?s coming on, but don?t know everything....
surprise would be nice.......

Hey, pharm, only tip i can give you is dont fight the trip,
dont be afraid to loose control either. Remember youll always come down. If your the pharmakos i know you shouldnt have any trouble.
Some god musicc to listen to while tripping: d/l some music from: X-dream and Infec. Mushroom. Killer psycadelic music.
Good Luck on that your trip man.

a few things:
for the first time, only consume shrooms. i had a buddy that told me that pot would just extend the trip when smoked at the peak. for me, it blasted me to the stratosphere and kinda scared the crap outta me. different strokes for different folks i guess.
don't trust yourself enough to trip alone with no one knowing about it. even though a trip sitter wouldn't have to interfere to help you out, just having another body there that knows you are tripping is very comforting.
four words.....go with the flow. i'll second the motion that you shouldn't try to control a trip. just relaxing and letting go is the best way to have a good trip. it's harder to do than it sounds though. the natural reaction is to try to hang on as long as possible. whenever you start tensing up mentally, just laugh and tell yourself that you are in for the ride for wherever it may lead.
and no matter what...you'll be blown away by the experience that first time. it was completely different than i first envisioned.

I totally agree with everyone (except on the pot part - it is good anytime!).
Try to work with the mushroom. It isnt like other non-hallucinogenic drugs - you can't control it. Make friends with it and respect it!

keep in mind that this is a subjectiv subject....it depends on each single person
no one is the same, we always say that.......some say "don?t smoke pot"
That?s not correct at all........some people may be blasted of the stratosphere and others may just feel more relaxed and opened mind........
stop telling people what to do and tell poeple what YOU would do.......
back to the question
I wish they had told me to eat just a tiny bit more......I was like SOOOOOOOO close to level 3, but I had almost no visuals....that kinda sucked.....

You don't know how pot will affect the ride. for some people it just mellows you out, or extends the peak. for others, like myself, it sends you to space. There is really no way to know beforehand. That's why I feel first timers should get used to the mushroom only trip before bringing pot into the mix.
