Pressure Cooker

So I have a really older model of a Presto, the problem is it doesn't have or use a Pressure gauge. just a weight regulator.... I have the manual and it says it reaches 15psi. Will this still work for my grains? how will I know if it has reached the 15psi. Any info on this would be much appreciated. I've also looked for a Gauge and cannot find one anywhere!!

If the manual says it reaches 15 PSI, and it only came with one weight
then the weight is machined to reach 15 PSI.

My 21L PC came with 3 weights, 1 5-psi, 1 10-psi, and 1 15-psi. The 15
psi weight is the largest.

Heat the pressure cooker until it sprays a hot blast of air from the weight. At that point, you lower the heat on your stove to allow a small consistent rocking of the weight. If it keeps blasting hot air every so often then you're applying too much heat.
