its common for people to take unclean cultures and use multiple agar transfers to clean it up. so you have a good chance
http://www.mushroomvideos.com/Agar-Petri-Dishes
watch this it will show you how to choose a sector to transfer
good luck.

I cant really watch videos because I have dialup not by choice there is not a option for high speed in the town I live in. But do I just cut a small Peace of clean myc agar and all from the plate and transfer it to a unused plate?

look at the growth patters of the myc. take the strongest looking strand. try and be as precise as you and only get one strand. and if your luck you should have a perfectly clean isolate.

sounds like you have lipstick mold growing not myc
https://files.shroomery.org/files/06-24/069284222-contam.jpg
thats a picture of lipstick mold in a pf jar
and yellow doesnt sound right either.
i dont think you will have much luck with those cultures. infact you should probibly throw them outside somewhere cause they could cause heath issues.

you need to make a glove box then or a still air box
that way you can at least minimize your contamination chances.

We have one. You know we got the mushie from the wild so there is bound to be a contam. But one looks really nice.
 this is the bad one.

That whole plate is gone with the wind.If you look close thy both look to have a dark yellow contam. IDK. We went with the better looking plates. And we stuck the inoculation loop in the agar and twisted it and pulled out a nice little chunk from the cleanest healthiest section

Same as here, but it's almost 40 miles of old copper to the nearest switch, so dial-up won't even work. I have to use satellite. It's expensive and slow. Only about five or so times dial up speed at best. You might look into it as an option though. You still have to start a video and click pause. It's not even fast enough to watch youtube videos without constantly buffering. RR
