[First Time]Some questions

Hello everyone , i am just about to start growing some mushrooms but i have , let's say , a dilemma. Here in my country the winter is coming so the temperature is quickly decreasing ( it the next 1-2 weeks will be like 10 degrees celsius ) , so , my question is : What can i do to keep the temperature i need in the fruit chamber ? Any ideas or any way to make this ? Also my second question : From one 10cc spore syringe , how many jars can i inoculate ? And about the moisture , how can i do that ? Regards

What is the Temperature usually inside your house? If it stays between 65-75 degrees you will be fine From one 10cc Syringe you can usually squeeze a Dozen 1/2 pint Substrate jars out of it, if your carefull. Usually it takes 1cc Per 1/2 Pint Jar. Do you mean the Humidity? A properly built Fruiting Chamber will give you the needed 95-100% Humidity.

Well , right now i think the temp in the house is somewhere around 15 degrees so that's why i am asking for help. As for the humidity problem , if i use the instructions from http://www.mushroomvideos.com is it any good ( i mean the fruiting chamber ).

I don't know what to say , it always been like this. I was thinking to put a radiator in a small chamber that i have and also buy a thermometer and keep the heat at a limit

I would use some sort of space heater in a small room. I would be afraid to put a heat source in a Fruiting Chamber, even if it is that cold. It being so hot could dry out your Substrate's rather quickly.

you could try a fishtank heater inside of a tub of water and have another tub inside of that with your jars sitting in the 2nd tub ...if that makes sense

it makes sense , that's the thing that i though about in the first place , but if i do this , all that water that evaporates from the fish tank goes up in the fruiting chamber and again i don't think that all that humidity is good , or maybe i am wrong and it's good .
@DynGBreeDS : I didn't understood corectly I don't want to put a heat source in the fruit chamber , when i said "chamber" i mean "room"

One last quick question. For the monotubes teks you always need to have an liquid culture ? I mean , i have read this and this.In the first one you need liquid culture in the second one it seems that he didn't use liquid. Also i don't really know what "brick coir" is ( i have an idea but i am not sure ). Regards

These are very cool for warming up say a small cupboard for growing and only pull 60w per foot.

I grew pans in winter in a cupboard using these, you'll need to rig it up to a thermostat mind to keep it switching, much cheaper to run than 1500w oil filled radiators.
This is a good investment to for the thermostat.

You do not need an LC to do these or any teks. LC's are used for a couple different reasons. It only takes a couple cc's from a spore syringe to make a "mother LC" then from there you make "working LC's" by sucking up some of the mycelium that has grown inside the mother LC and inoculating other working LC's. From the working LC's you make syringes and inoculate jars. It takes less time to colonize as you have bypassed waiting on spores to germinate. Also you can continue making as many LC's as your heart desires, all started from a couple cc's of spore solution. This is LC's in a nutshell, there is much more you can do with them. But to answer your question again using an LC is not necessary.

Coco coir is the by-product of the husks of coconuts used to make coco coir peat potting soil I believe.

Ya man I believe you can just use horse dung or cow dung, as I believe coir is actually a substitute for dung.
