I've never been a fan of soaking my sub to re hydrate. But it was dry so I did. It was fully submerged for about an hour and a half. I picked the left over fruits and left some pins and abort. After the soak its now pretty black looking, is that to be expected ? Also how do you make sure the surface dries correctly? Atm I have it open with a fan passing over it till its not drenched or... you tell me otherwise.

No help so far so I'm making guesses now, read that the mushies I left in could rot. So I removed them. All of them so the sub is now bare. Seems too look better than the soggy mess. Have the sub tilted at an angle to let excess water drain moar.  Some thoughts I had were to let recognize or maybe flip the sub so the fresh unused underside may start fruiting. Would love some pro tips about now

Not sure what you mean by the first thing you said, and you hardly addressed my questions. But thanks for calling me an asshole. Makes you look all cool and bad ass like you just served me. Right on cool dude.

whoa. no need to call him an asshole.

anyways i'm not a fan dunking substrates myself, and yeah they do look ugly after cropping.  what works for me is to lay a new thin layer of casing over my substrates and rehydrate over a period of days with a mister.

ime, adding that thin layer of casing aids in a better second flush and i don't have a grow room of hideous looking casings.

This grow with gt has me feeling like a noob. This is a coir based mono. A small mono at that. It's not really had a sold flush but I have been picking a few each day for about two weeks.  All the fruits were black. The myc is gel like, maybe it will dry better by morning. I picked them all off as I said above. The little bastards ripped a lot of the surface off.
