Another Halted Growth Scenario

So I knocked my jars up about 3 weeks ago. All went well for the first 3 weeks quick signs of myc then maybe a week and a half of strong rhizo growth, then no real sign of growth. I check them about once every 3 days for a moment just to look for contams (I know its too much but I cant help it its my first grow). The temperature dropped a bit (busted heater) but has been back for a handful of days and the growth hasnt returned. Im wondering what could be causing the halt. Could 45 secs of light 2.5 times a week really halt growth that much? I thought it just initiated early pinning. Could the cold (by cold I mean like 65F) shocked growth enough to halt it permanently? I bought these jars with pre-sterilized substrate so Im also wondering if the time between their pc and my innoc was enough to allow them to dry out some. I know its been asked many times before but each grow has its own specific set of varients I guess. Id put up pics but I have resolved not to check them again till 10/15 unless responses give me reason to. Any input?

Temperature change will do that, no worries though (the myc is still fine). Get a new heater, shake the jars thoroughly, and they should be good to go in 10 days. Good luck!

Shaking BRF Jars? They have a top layer of dry verm I thought that could expose contams from the top layer into the actual cake? Thanks for the reassurance though, puts my mind at ease. It'll be a rough ten days without checking on them.

Dude you can check your jars as much as you want. It wont hurt to look at them. There's no way 45 sec of light 2.5 days a week will hurt it because of the light. Actually if anything they should get more light like indirect sunlight during the day. I can't see 65F halting growth permanently. You can store mycelium in the fridge to temporarily stop the growth but it will start growing again when you take it out and the fridge is a lot colder than that. What temps are you keeping them at now? It's ok to take pics. Actually it's not good to shake and disturb the verm barrier.

Thats what I thought about the shaking they're now at about 75-80. I marked the jars with a sharpey so well see if growth is slowed or completely halted in a day or two. I'm just not sure what it could be. The jars I bought were pre sterilized ph balanced with all the good stuff in it to decrease colonization time and increase yield. Some were going quicker than others but it seems like all of them stopped around the same time, ones that were barely showing signs are still that way a week and a half later and the ones that were at maybe 1/3 colonized are still there a week and a half later. At-least I got some reassurance though so thanks both of you.

I had some of the dry vermiculite layer fall down into my substrate and they haven't grown in almost 3 days now. I think they are fucked. This is my first grow too. I'm just waiting to wake up to them being covered in mold. Everything was going great until this happened. Don't move your jars too much.
