Plastic jar lids

I've seen pictures of jars with those plastic lids and polyfill. I was looking at the package today and it said 'not for processing.'

Whats the deal? I assume they survive PCing or people wouldn't use them...

There definitely are plastic lids that can handle PC-ing, I think MM sells them for example. Probably depends on the grade of plastic. Or did you get them from a vendor who said it can handle PC, but on the lid itself it states otherwise?

They're just the Bernardin plastic lids to replace the snap lids after opening. It says on the pack 'not for processing.'
