ginger & tummy troubles
    #1517699 - 05/03/03 04:05 PM (13 years, 8 months ago)

Ok, my fiancee and I have problems with shrooms causing some stomach distress during our trips. We've had very worthwhile times, but one would usually appreciate a situation more without an upset stomach. At least I would.
(For some reason, whenever people talk about having stomach problems here, others always seem to respond "don't worry- you won't have any problems!" -- but we do, so nyah nyah :-P)

Anyway, we don't have a handy supply of weed, and Pepto, etc. is bothersome, but we've seen some references for ginger.
Any clue how much ginger is advisable to help with such things?

Thanks!

Usually a big capsule full of dried ginger powder does the trick. If you pile it up about the size of a bean. Works great, do it half an hour before dosing.

we normally fill about 3 gell caps full of powder ginger and take them about half an hour before the shrooms....

Wiccan_Seeker may be right in that you may only need one big one...but the great thing about ginger is you cant OD on it....lol....so take as much as you like =)

you can't od on ginger, but taking an excessive amount can create its own stomache problems. Three to five ginger capsules should be more than enough

Munching on a couple of strong ginger cookies or candied ginger can work well too, as long as you don't eat too many of them before you ingest your shrooms. (This can be hard to do because they are reallly yummy.

I think a tablespoon would be enough, that's how much I take with morning glory...

ginger works great.. except if you're not a fan of the flavor of the pure ginger..
I hate it
and burping up ginger during an intense moment during a trip.. well.. sucks :P
