Looks a bit wet to me and some bacterial problems (most likely due to being too wet).

I'd say that looks nasty. How did you prep your rye? How did you sterilize it?

I used half a syringe 5cc for two separate jars.

That is way too much. The jars could have been spot on on the water content but then adding that 5cc could have thrown them and cause the excess moisture and then the bacteria. You don't need to use more than 1cc. Some people even use 1/2 a cc or even a couple drops when working with very dark syringes.

Another reason not to order from random sites. If you aren't going to do it yourself, use Vendors. They are legit and have been used by plenty of us.
and Meetzu, I often put 2-3cc of LC (not spore but LC) into my grain jars, however my jars are prepped properly, and even with this additional moisture, there is no pooling of liquid.
Better to do it yourself, then you know everything will go right.

I use about 2ccs of LC myself but I also have it down to the point where I know it wont be too much water because of how I prep my grains. And I agree, when using jars prepped by someone else you never know. IMO 5ccs is quite a bit (especially spore solution) and enough to throw off jars on the moist side that would have otherwise been ok with a lesser amount added. I would still try and get a replacement from the vendor you went through. If they aren't shitbags then they should oblige.

5ccs is quite a bit. I wouldn't do 5ccs either. Though I would do up to 3.
Oh, RP, I just took a look online at that site. You could have bought a pressure cooker and grain for the price you spent for a single kit. You spent like 70-100$ for that I'm guessing?
