A contam?

Hey guys, long time lurker making my first post here. This place seems like a wealth of expert information so any help here would be greatly appreciated.
I've been noticing this on my colonizing substrate for around a week. Any ideas what it could be? It's not increasing in size, the rest of the bag is colonizing ok (I think- first grow and all).
The strain is Thai and (though I know eyes will roll because I'm saying this) I've used a store-bought grow kit with it's own little vial of liquid culture medium and medical grade sterilized syringes/needles at every juncture. It's currently incubating in a warm cupboard.
I'm worried it could be a bacterial contam. Any ideas greatly welcomed.

I'm no expert, but it could just be metabolites...which isn't necessarily bad but can signify a bad thing to come. From my understanding, metabolites are anti-bacterial substances that the myc secrete to fight off infection and other contams.
What I'd do is monitor that section very closely and see for any darkening, color changing, or growth of the abnormality. Also try to isolate it from the rest of your bags.
How clean is your environment? Might be in a warm cupboard, but how well cleaned out is that cupboard and anything else near it? Personally I clean out EVERYTHING near and especially where my growth is. I'm talking scrubbing down countertops and the crusty edges of them, cupboard doors, anti-bacterial mopping, washing appliances, etc. Also take a look at your HVAC unit. That's something I think too many people over look...change out your filters, clean up any residue/dust on the intakes/fans/grill/condenser unit/vents. Autoclave/tyvek might help but not if you're not taking proper full precautions!
Maybe some more input from someone with a bit more tenure?

Depends on the species you are growing. I know that king oyster mycelium has a tannish color to it as it ages. If it's cubensis then itmight be metabolites or a contam, hard to tell.
