PC ran out of water for short time

Was pcing jars and i think i ran the stove way too hot. Steam was pouring out the safety valve. After the 90 mins i open it up and theres no water. Just my jars sitting ontop of a towel i put in there.
It couldnt have been sitting long because like 2-3 mins before i opened it up steam was coming out.
I looked it up, and rr stated not to use it again, as it could explode...but im going to anyways. Checked the tabs on the thing, everything looks good to go i don't know why it would blow. Its got a safety lock and a safety valve, should i worry? I think my biggest worry would be the viability of the substrate, although it should be okay because it was pretty much boiled under pressure until the very end when i noticed it stop steaming and i took it off shortly there after. it was probably running dry for 2-5 minutes.
also, how do u think those jars came out? they seemes just a little bit dark but not by much. it is wbs.

you should be using jar rings instead of a towel, but what ever works
IMO i think they are ok, i mean, i dont think you can burn substrate by not having water in your PC, but maybe you can because it reaches a higher temp without the water in it

yea, thats what im thinkin/wondering
even if it did get hotter than usual, would it not still work? i mean there are still all the same nutrients in it.

yea they do, but there are things that get destroyed at high temp, if you sterilize them at to high of a temp nothing will grow on them because you have killed all the good things inside the jars

well i would be looking for a response from somebody who has done this before, i know im not the only one. Or somebody who knows if you can actually "overheat" the nutrients away.
No i am not looking for somebody to tell me "itl be okay". Possibly somebody could tell me why the hell RR said the pc is gonna explode?
regardless its only 3 jars out of my batch of 12 so im going to knock em up anyways and see how it goes.
thanks for your valuable input

Do you have spore/lc/agar to burn? I mean if this isn't your last syringe full of spores then why not try it? Whats the worst that could happen? Nothing grows?

in his case the jars would have cracked and the towel would have burnt before his grains burnt.`

This has nothing to do with nutrients... The fact is, you ran your PC dry... So after it was dry, the only thing left to boil off is the water in your jars... Thus drying them out... Sure they MIGHT start to grow and colonize, but the idea is they are going to stall and not finish, because they are TOO DRY... Once your PC goes dry, you start to cook the water out of your jars...
I assume you are doing cakes, so with the cost of BRF being so low, whats the point of risking spores? If you really want to waste that spore syringe, mail it to some other noob, who might follow directions we give...
Its quite insulting, when you come on the boards and ask for advice, and then when you get it, refuse to follow any...

Listen man, this aint my first rodeo. Im not a "noob" ive been goin' at it for years. I do bulk only. I had 2 initial questions:
-Why would my PC explode -Are my grains fucked from being pc'd for a few mins with no water.
Thats it, the other NOOBS were the ones startin the shit about the nutrients. So for the record, no the grains arnt cooked they look normal as far as water content goes. No im not doing brf, why the fuck would i do brf with a pressure cooker? WBS. as it was said before many times.
As far as spores go, who the fuck cares i have endless amounts of spores from previous grows. spores are nothing. If you are still buying spores, or are not self sufficient in the hobby yet, then you friend are the noob. gtfo

There are a couple of bad things about running a PC dry.
First, that your jars may have not been sterilized properly. Hot air is significantly less effective at sterilizing than steam is. Steam at 134 °C can achieve in 3 minutes the same sterility that hot air at 160 °C takes two hours to achieve.
Second, your jars could have dried out significantly.
Third, regarding the worry that your PC may explode, is that the metal would have reached significantly higher temperatures than it was made to withstand...thus potentially causing warping that you may or may not be able to readily recognize not to mention that the metal underwent stress above and beyond what it was made for.

Your using MS to grow... Dont even get me started bro!
Question... If your not short on BRF, jars, grains, or spores... And truly dont give a fuck about the outcome of this, then why did you make the post to begin with? Other than wasting everyones time/bandwidth....
And ftw, the only time i use spores, is when i swipe some across a petri to start a new strain isolation...

Best advice was given, make up a few more jars... Now your just tryin to be a...
