BRF as bulk substrate
    #15170601 - 10/03/11 07:39 AM (13 years, 3 months ago)

I have left over BRF... Can I use BRF+vermiculite as a bulk substrate?  I am spawning WBS and was wondering if I should really just go and get coco coir to use as bulk substrate or if I would be able to just use my leftover supply of BRF.

Get coir or some manure.
You pasteurize bulk subs so they have a higher chance of not contaminating.
I think if you tried spawning a colonized wbs to uncolonized brf it is allmost guaranteed to contaminate

Brown rice flour is not a bulk substrate material.  It's a grain useful for spawn, but not bulk.
