Spartacus (Andy Whitfield) has died

I knew he had cancer and wasn't going to be in the next season, but i wanted to check out what he was up to, thought maybe he might be back for season 3 or a spinoff something, i look and he died september 11....such bullshit

as popular as that show and he was it seems news of his death hasn't traveled near as fast, sucks was hoping to see him in some other roles as well. most of my favorite actors are old or dead

Yeah..... very sad.

Andy was one of my favourite actors..a super man...hard to believe that cancer could strike someone so fit..
Apparently he was a structural engineer who at the urging of his wife started modelling in his late 20's / early 30's.. This led to some acting roles in some australian soapies and then to his most famous role of Sparticus.
He was most importantly a father of 2 children who sadly lost a great dad.

RIP - Andy Whitfield..I hope your family can get by on the memories you left.

(my Andy facts are just from memory and i apologise if i have made any errors)

wow, I didn't know he had died until reading this post. :feelsbadman:

I wonder what the course of his disease was, since they supposedly declared him cancer-free at one point and everyone was expecting him to recover. Guess I have to get around to finally watching the rest of Spartacus now, though with a heavier heart.
