#5 - likely Pan cinctlus, need to take a spore print - should be jet black, although the little fat one is not the same species.

#6 amanita of some kind - stay away from eating those

The rest I'm not sure as I've never encountered them

Would also be good to know what geographical area you live in assuming the US... but kind of southish?

RIP Matt, your friendship and your contributions to the world of fungi will be missed. Unfortunately we never got to hunt together.

None of the others are active - if those 2 in number five are cinctlus, which I believe they are after having found them many times then they are active. Potency does vary by collection though. Often you'll see bluing at the base, not so much on the mushroom itself but where it meets the mycelium will be a powder blue. N. Carolina will still see them this time of year. Take a sporeprint to be sure, and you'll need more than those 2 if you want to trip. As Bluefunguy said - stay away from the other one you are holding in that picture.

Please also do yourself a favour and do a lot more research before you eat anything. I owned two guidebooks and put countless hours into learning how to identify mushrooms before I ever ingested anything, I am by no means an expert but have spent 12 years hunting mushrooms and have read countless books and webpages - always learning and so should you be.

Well as I said, you have most likely two active mushrooms there - take a print, if it's jet black then you have a winner. Find about 10-15 more of them and you should be good to go. But take this hobby seriously and you will be rewarded - pretty sure nobody has ever died from not tripping though. Buy a guide book, and do a search for what you can find in your area.

I don't think 6 is an Amanita. Looks more like a Leucoagaricus or maybe Leucocoprinus species.

You could be right... though I have seen some of the smaller Amanitas look just like that.

Dead or decaying logs and stumps is where I find my gyms, up here in ohio they are gym lutes that i find all the time, not sure what varieties grow down your way but dead stumps and logs is a good start.
