How can you NOT use tabbed browsing?
The tabs encroach on the viewable amount of the web page. When it comes to computers, I'm an extreme minimalist. I only have 3 things on my desktop and I delete crap I don't use like there's no tomorrow. I am also used to separate windows and being able to Alt+Tab between thangs makes it easier, for me, since it shows you the title of the page as you scroll past it with the Alt+Tab. Having a couple windows open with a few tabs each makes it harder to remember which tabs are in which window. It's much easier to close a window quickly by just moving the mouse to the top-rightmost corner and clicking vs. moving over to the little tiny X to close the tab. I have never found a good use for the tabs. Not one.

If you're going to bring up that point, then there is Ctrl+F4 to close tabs.
Although his point about Alt Tabbing is a valid one... A true minimalist wouldn't have so many damned windows open though.
At most, I have Facebook, Gmail, Google Maps, Shroomery, whatever music I'm listening to, and whatever page I'm browsing. Really easy to visually keep track.

I have been using Firefox since I've first heard about it, and I haven't had one single problem with it.
Firefox wins.

Haha, my friends can't hack my tabbage at all. Normal for me to have 10/15 open, 2 for google translate, facebook, gmail, youtube, etc. Haha, just checked and I've 14, and shroomery is 1 in incognito. Don't want this weird place showing up in my browsing history.

I agree, that's why I close them as soon as I'm done using them. But having 5 windows open at a time sometimes is necessary, for the moment. Navigating between them to close them with the Alt+Tab is what I'm talking about, mostly. I usually don't have more than 2 or 3 windows open at a time or I get antsy.

I remember seeing a friend do this: have one window/page open, wants to go somewhere else, close the whole thing down and start again....and again

Funny i just heard of that, or at least was just reminded of that.
Looks like chrome will take the number 2 spot from Firefox around the end of the year.
Pretty sure lynx is still most stable web browser.
Me I am a firefox guy. I guess because I was originally a Netscape user and the interface was similar so it was an easy jump.
Not a fan of the chrome look and feel, to minimalistic I guess. If I had to switch from Firefox it would be Opera which I used on and off in the past.
