Tchan909 said: It used to be that Facebook had an interface that promoted this type of social networking really well, but it's gone to utter shit. They keep rolling out new features before fixing the last ones they rolled out, and on top of that all the new features are terrible. And the way it obviously spies on you is just nasty. It was fine the way it was, WHY CAN'T THEY JUST LEAVE IT THAT WAY?!
what exactly do you mean by this, ive heard of fb's privacy policy being somewhat intrusive.. whats the deal with that ive been thinking about deleting mine. not necause its sucks because my friends and family dont suck.. but i do check it way too much...
but if you real info isnt on their how can they ' spy' on someone
It's really hard to fully delete your Facebook account; they keep everything you say on record and sell it off to advertisers and lord knows who else.
Apparently it IS possible to fully delete your FB account, but I don't know how. It's very complicated, apparently.

I find Facebook is a great tool to use to stay in touch with friends and family over long distances. Especially for me, having moved several times, it's great being able to still know what everyone is up to in their lives and make plans to visit each other at certain points.
The most common reason i see people bashing Facebook for is that "people share too much info you don't want to know, people's status updates are annoying, they post too many pictures you don't care about" etc.
It's really your own fault that happens, because you obviously have more friends on there than you're actually friends with in real life. Of course you're going to become annoyed at seeing updates and pictures and comments of people you don't care about. Only add your true friends and family, problem solved.
If you claim you only have your actual friends on there, then why do their updates bug you so much? I really question your friendship with them when seeing their pictures or statuses makes you want to delete your account.
/rantoff, just tired of seeing multiple threads daily about Facebook popping up.

Me too. Facebook just plays too fast and loose with your personal info.

Facebook is good when I lose my phone, otherwise its just sluts yapping. I'm down with facebook but checking it every second is not the same as hopping on shroomery to look at some new threads.
