I picked a crate full from the side of a road near my old house.
Crushed it up and fermented it.
Spread it out to dry and it looked the same colour and consistency as sceletium powder as it dried
however had to move and it wasnt dry and i suspect it would have gone mouldy at that stage so i ditched it
im going to do it again when my plants get to size

if you find out first please post and tell me if im wasting my time

Hola! How ya doing?

How many of the seeds did you plant?
How many germinated?
How long did it take?
What kind of conditions were used to germinate them?

Just wanting to compare notes.......(dont have mine with me to post) But I recall the first 'batch' that I tried(about 30 seeds) none came up after a long while.......the second "batch"(about 60 seeds scattered between a couple 3 inch pots) three sprouted.....1 survived...... Was slow growing at first, but after developing its second set of leaves it has really taken off.....and now has i belive 4 leaf sets(this is about 1 week after the second leafset grew).........

Let me know

i planted about 20 seed and i think about 18 sprouted.. it took a couple weeks to germ in peat tabs in a humidity dome.. once they  sprouted i took them outside to soak up th sun and they are doin good..A good few of them died due to wind one day snapped the lil bugger's stems... but i got probly 10 goin good.. i got some big 2nd leaves now, a lil behind you.. ive heard this succulent doesnt need to be fermented to get the alki's to SHow Up.. Test on fresh  sceletium showed no alki's if im not mistaken , but fresh Aptenia cordifolia showed alki's off he get go... jojoba

Cool - you know if this stuff is good i could become the aptenia moghul of the net ha
I mean where is used to live it is everywhere!!!!
I picked a crate in less than 10 minutes and the patch barely looked shaved, i dare say theres barely a street in the city without at least one patch of it

I think mine has seedpods on it if anyone wants a trade.
