yea, they tend to grow in clusters. if you pick one, you generally have to pick the rest from the clump within about 24 hours, or they stop growing and start to rot. this makes for hard decisions sometimes. a lot of times i'll let some abhorts die, so i can let others grow more. it's a judgement call. try picking them, and just watch the others closely
