I'm 59yo and can't relate to most of the music suggestions posted here. I do enjoy jazz and listen to alot of Chuck Mangione while trippin on Shrooms. I would love some suggestions from others. Any Miles Davis albums or other jazz artists?

I've always LOVED listening to Chick Corea when I'm tripping, or whenever for that matter. Wayne Shorter's good too.

Chick for sure man. I listened to the Ultimate Adventure and My Spanish Heart on acid one day and it was fucking extra killin.
John Scofield is awesome, I also really like the album Invisible Cinema by Aaron Parks. Really good stuff. Herbie Hancock older funky stuff is nice too. Thrust in particular for me.
Also, although it's not jazz persay, it's definitely jazz influenced and some tracks are very jazzy. TORTOISE. Every trip.

If you like jazz and shrooms, check out Madlib Mindfusion Volume 2, Madlib Shades of Blue, and Madlib under the alias of Yesterday's New Quintet.

Hey man, I feel what you're saying about not relating to most of the musical suggestions around here. When you say you like jazz, are you a musician yourself? What sort of jazz, any? Is it all about the improv or do you just like the feel of a particular era/style/artist of jazz?
I'd love to help you out since I'm pretty big on jazz myself and I study it etc.
Try -
John Coltrane - A love Supreme Miles Davis - Anything from the second great quintet (Nefertiti, Sorcerer, ESP, etc), also anything live from this group Miles Davis - Bitches Brew (warning - I never really got in to this one sober) Brad Mehldau Trio - Anything at all, Brad Mehldau is fucking amazing, if you don't know him you're missing out (if you need to pick one album, I like 'Day is Done' a lot ) Aaron Parks - Invisible Cinema (someone suggested this already)
Should be enough to get you started, just get back to me if you want more suggestions I got plenty

I'm a big Jazz fan, but more Smooth Jazz.
This isn't jazz but it's an amazing song, it changes throughout, and the last 40 seconds are FANTASTIC.

Sun Ra is pretty awesome and some of his music is pretty spacey and out there.

The long improvisations of The Velvet Underground. Jazz was a big influence on that band. PM me if interested.

If your into jazz fusion then pretty much anything that involves Miles Davis and the guys that played with him for In a Silent Way/Bitches Brew, so Chick Corea (Return to Forever), John McClaughlin (Mahavishnu Orchestra), and Wayne Shorter (Weather Report), early Santana is great too. Also any of the classic bop guys, I think instrumental jazz music is pretty much always going to sound good though.
