Hello shroomery,
I'm new, well actually, i use to post on here a long time ago..but had to make a new account i don't even remember my old username. anyways, i just wanted to start a thread on my first grow (PF tek). bought a kit , australian strain. inoculated the jars on the 20th of this month, and they already have a lot of mycelium growth only after 4 days. is this too fast or just a good sign? if i should post pics, please let me know. i want to learn this hobby from people who know their stuff, so if you guys can bear with me and offer any advice or any troubleshooting help please let me know as its all very much appreciated. i want to learn!! thanks guys.

If growth is too fast it could be contamination. Im not saying that is the case with your grow. Just pointing out fast growth is not always the best thing.

Wait till your Substrate is 100% colonized (when it is completely white with Mycelium). Wait 1 week more after that time so the substrate can consolidate. Birth your cakes, rinse will and then Soak in water for 24 hours. Remove cakes, rinse them again. Then roll in dry Vermiculite. Place in your Fruiting chamber.
