U dont want the powder Verm.. Medium or fine verm is good..

Use a coffee grinder.. You can BUY!!! one at walmart for 10 bucks. Dont steal it.. Even tho it is walmart..

Ya u can get the pump to pump water through an air stone for humidity.

the large grade verm has the largest chunks 7-9mm. and the fine is between 3-4 i think.  large is better for casings, medium (in between there somewhere) is better for pf jars, and the fine has no use for ya!!

A 200 watt fully submersible/water proof heat is perfect for a double container incubator. Just make sure it can go ALL the way under water. If your not sure, dont risk it. Call the service number on the box. What brand did you get.

O.k. My cats a newbe so he could be wrong but he grinds his rice into a slightly "chunky" flour with blender and it seems to work OK. Also he uses fine to medium verm for his PF cakes (read on Mycotopia if anything it may slow down grow a little when using fine). And as jtseaweed said a 200 watt'r should be perfect for a double rubber incubator. Also depending the size of the rubbermaid your using you might be able to get away with a single rubermaid and the pickle jar tecnique. He also read that a you do not have to worry about humidity with the incubator (could be wrong) and for a fruiting chamber alot of the time all you will need is the perlite. (again he could be wrong after all he IS just a cat.)

Damb, my water heater is only partially submersible its a "tetratek" or something. I didn't have time to get the intruction manual for it. Mabey i could get a seperate container of water inside and put the heater in that?
