What makes a strain a strain? What is different about EQ then say SAs or B+? Is there anything more then the location of where the cube was found? Chemical make up, something about the spores that I have to use a microscope to see?

By the way.
Are you able to tell if a syringe is contamed if you use a microscope to check it?

well mushrooms are kinda like dogs. an isolate is like a pure-breed. two different breeds are still the same species, but they display different inherent traits, aquired through a grewat many generations of selection, be it natural [due to geographical isolation] or artificial [due to human imposed breeding quidelines].

different strains of the same species are different in that they possess traits non distinguishing enough to make them seperate species, but diffeent enough from another strain [and consstant with in successive generations] to require istinction.

ths is a poor paralell, and soes not explain te mechanics of it, but i hope it makes sense and satisfies your question.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

isolates are more like individual people. different strains are like different nationalities or ethnic groups. then there are groups of strains that are like races.
