can't get the very top completed..
    #1512272 - 05/01/03 08:02 PM (14 years, 29 days ago)

a freind of this girl heard someone talking about their jars...the jars are all almost completely colonized but there is a little space at the top just under the "fill line" that has not completely colonized. there are long pieces of rope that you can see through and it is not as dense as the rest of the jar. are there any tricks to get the very top to hurry up so we can get this show on the road?? looks like some verm may have worked its way a little lower, so maybe that is the prob???

any suggestions???

yes...that is the dry verm layer, but the substrate was filled up to the "fill line"...therefore, this chic was thinking that everything should be colonized up to the "fill line"...however, it does appear that the dry verm has come down some.....does turning the jars upside down do anything beneficial???
