Wellbutrin and Shrooms?

Hey guys, I'm currently taking 400 mg daily of Bupropion (Wellbutrin) and I'm having my first trip on shrooms this Saturday night. I took my meds this morning and am not planning on taking them tomorrow or Saturday. Should my trip be okay since I am not taking it two days prior? And also Bupropion is not an SSRI so it won't affect serotonin. Any info would be appreciated!

Think of it this way:

Your brain is used to having a certain level of dopamine. We'll call the arbitrary amount "units"

Say your brain is used to having 50 units of dopamine. Adding 25 units will have a large impact on your reward centers. It's a 50% increase.

Now add wellbutrin, which increases your dopamine level significantly. Now your brain has 400 units of dopamine. Now if you add 25 units, it's just a drop in the bucket, and your brain barely even notices the change.

Now, let's say your brain is used to 400 units, and you stop taking the wellbutrin. Now your brain is used to 400, but only has 50. Now you add 25, and you're only at 75. But you're used to 400. you're wayy under what you're used to, so you're actually worse off.

You need to come off the medication long enough for your brain to get used to the normal level again, so it's more sensitive to changes. This takes time. More than two days.

Dopamine isn't the primary neurotransmitter involved in a shroom trip. So the majority of your trip will be the same. You'll still see stuff the same way you would without the wellbutrin. You'll still have a very altered state of consciousness, and think in a different way. But the euphoria, and the meaningfulness of the thoughts and ideas you might have could potentially be diminished significantly.
