I know most use the AA aluminum PCs, but I'm looking for a PC I can also use to cook food. Can anyone recommend a large(>=15qt) pressure cooker?

Looks like the largest SS Presto is 8qt. I use a 21qt aluminum for canning and a 6qt SS for cooking.

You can use an AA to cook food. That is what it is made for unless you are talking about one of their autoclaves. They make those to sterilize medical equipment and things like that but we use them to sterilize grains,.

It also means your balls fall off. Boycott the anti-American bastards. I last stepped into one of their stores in 1982, before most members here were born. They've gotten ten times worse since then.
AA is great for food. RR

You afraid of gettin' Alzheimer's?
Quote:
Myth 4: Drinking out of aluminum cans or cooking in aluminum pots and pans can lead to Alzheimer’s disease.
Reality: During the 1960s and 1970s, aluminum emerged as a possible suspect in Alzheimer’s. This suspicion led to concern about exposure to aluminum through everyday sources such as pots and pans, beverage cans, antacids and antiperspirants. Since then, studies have failed to confirm any role for aluminum in causing Alzheimer’s. Experts today focus on other areas of research, and few believe that everyday sources of aluminum pose any threat.
Aluminum is superior to steel in heat conduction. If you're using an induction stove, that'd be a valid reason.

I don't use aluminum for anything, but what I "have to"... On that note; typically consumables are not placed directly into a PC. Rather; containers of "stuff, food" is placed within them... If the PC is used properly, there should not be a concern (to my knowledge) of aluminum in your consumables

All these comments on aluminum are hearsay and best guesses. There's no way for me to prove if aluminum causes disease or not, easiest to just avoid. Thanks for the comments though guys.

I never even thought about that.. hmm.. I wonder if I got heavy metal poisoning now
I have a Mirro 22qt... they come with recipes to cook steaks and shit. Is there really a big risk with this? I just cooked a steak the other day. With habenero sauce and it was sooooooooo hot when I was sweating after my sweat was burning my skin so bad
