erius16 said: anyone found anything in the north glasgow area?
Dont know the area but the pitches out my way are swimming in the feckers now, got some decent sized ones aswell
Not found much in the fields tho, strange :/
What city/closest area are you around?
I'll be heading out to the fields around Perth/Crieff tomorrow.... hopefully it rains tonight! I think perhaps have a big patch of P.strictipes growing in the garden. They are very young so hopefully I'll find out in a day or two! I'm trying to get a hold of a good camera for photos.
I've already had a look around the park over here and around.... found no liberties but found some mushrooms that I'm going to keep an eye on (coulda sworn that the long grass had already been trampled on.... maybe just a dog walker!)!
ARITE mate, i used to get thousands in XXXXXXX park at the rugby pitch near the trees in XXXXXX, but the bastards started spraying it there and you dont get them anymore in any of the parks in crieff, i also used to get them in a cowfield in methven, but the past 3 years the farmer hasn't been letting the cows in, so the grass is too long and theres nothing there now, and that place had loads, and loads of strange beautiful brightly coloured shrooms.... nothing now, i had a look in the north inch in perth, but theres been nothin there either despite what people say...
Peace, Pot, Microdot!!

The number of seasonal threads is getting crazy don't make unecessary ones.

i haredly think its unnessecary, since scotland has a different climate and altitude to england, so your request is rather pointless and more pro union than pro sense!

I've been trying to find Libs in a certain large park full of cows in Glasgow for the past month with no luck. Might start trying mountains next.

FINALLY found some! They were in a wet field with sheeps going around! Checked MILES of fields were sheeps before I came to this one. Only checked about 20% of the field, not even half. Most are tiny little babies and some middle size, only a few full grown (bigger ones on spore print) Purple, dark gills. Sticky cap. Maybe 2 to 3 P. strictipes in there (1 on spore print) Will search the whole field in a few days to give them more time to grow!
Not the best picture. Feet too sore to go and place them on paper ATM.
Here's some pictures of the fields (all different fields in each picture, so much that gave me nothing) and possibly some liberty cap pins?? Maybe give it a week and hope for more cold and rain then have another look!
-------------------- Pain is temporary. It may last for a minute or an hour or a day or even a year but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it will last forever.

There are loads of places to pick in Perth, believe me. I picked over 3000, yes three thousand in one field, took me around 4 hours or so. Here are places I have found them in Perth (although this was around 1998-2000): King James VI golf club, on the island, wonder round down to the south of the island and along some of the fairways; there's a wee football pitch somewhere in Viewlands Park (not too many there tho); there's a park not far from Atholl Street and Charlotte Street (North Inch), near the north end of the park near the trees was where I first picked mushies; but the best place is (if memory serves me correctly and looking at googlemaps) is a park just off Rannoch Road and off Jeanfield Road as well. It sits on a sort of slope so you will find hundreds there.

ScottyWallace, I also checked Google earth and saw right away you have some moors and highlands near Perth. Looks like there's only one road that goes in there towards Little Glenshee and along the way, you can actually see mushrooms in the sheep fields on Google Street View
http://tinyurl.com/448o9ph
they are too big to be libertys but that also means the fields haven't been sprayed. You have lots of places to hunt around there. If I live there i'd take a nice long hike in the highlands...maybe a bike
