Might want to get more opinions on this, my pet praire dog is a noob, but he injected a cake that was practically spent with light malt extract solution,(had some from a different project) and it brought the cake back for one more huge fruit. Largest one my pet prarie dog has grown to this point, about 8". Threw the cake out after, he needed the space for a different project, but it didnt contam. Maybe it would if he had kept it,I don't know.

Cool. Injecting sterile nutrients sounds much better than spraying or dunking.

It was a fun experiment. Might be worth trying if you've got old cakes, and it dosent really matter if the contam or not.

well,. use your head. think of the nutrients that mushrooms want to grow on (grains and dung from grain eating animals, and straw) and ask yourself if there is any grain/dung/straw in there. if there isnt then it isnt worth it, even as a casing layer because verm and coco is pretty good as it is.
