In my experience ATL7 was a fair deal stronger than cubes.
I only sampled my Semperviva grow (still looking for the right time/place) but they were stronger than ATL7, by a wide margin.
One's own state of consciousness makes such a difference that these estimates are questionable.
Good luck,
JD
P.S. I would recommend ATL7 next. Semperviva takes even more patience...

By reading the first couple of posts my understanding is that if I were to grow the Golden Teacher on one rice cake and the penis envy on another, the stats such as potency and growth rate could very well be the same unless I use agar to find the optimal strain? I could end up getting the Golden Teacher to grow faster but weaker potency and have the opposite effects on strain of the penis envy?

Penis envy is not a strain. It is a variety. Penis envy Rhizo's you isolate on agar, that is a strain. Same for golden teacher or any other cube.

A cube is a cube with the exception of PE.
PE is stronger on average but that is because it is a mutated variety of p. cubensis and mutant genetics tend to be more potent than normal ones.

But the part about growth rate and potency is in a general sense correct. There are so many variables involved that nothing is concrete, but regardless, you are still dealing with the same species.

I just realized that the current incarnation of this thread is only 3 1/2 months old. And it has over 14,000 views. It amazes me how much interest and misconception surrounds "Strains".

I neither know how cubes nor semperviva feels like in terms of the effect. Semperviva is a sclerotia?
How does ATL7 compare to Mex A and the others?

Varieties would be the correct word, not strain.

Yes. I'm trying to get a picture of the potency, the kind of trip, the general yield (including size of stones), how fast they grow. All that matters, right?

I'll check that out, thanks
Cervantes! you are Mr.-Easier-Than-Cubes! And I've read your comments on Mex A vs. ATL7 in terms of the trip (clean vs. mindfuck). Do you also know which one grows better? Anything about the other kinds?
