not to mention scorese and whalberg! and steve buschemi! The costumes, and acting, and the way they talk is fairly awesome, I wasnt alive back then but I would imagine its alot like that.

I think she's just trying to protect him, putting money away for rough times to save him again. She didn't like the things she found out about him but eventually she came around and accepted them, when she see's some dead bodys that might change. She clearly didn't like what happened with that fight at the end yet that shotgun looked like it was made for her. When its all said and done he might be running from her
what do you think of the letter from immigration, and the maid claiming that was her? I never really put that one together. I think you're right tho, she is indeed just trying to protect him, I think though she may end up having to pull the trigger, or perhaps witness nucky doing something intensely malicious, that really opens her eyes to what she is involved in. I think nucky confronting his brother like that is really going to inspire some motivation Elli to get serious, and take jimmy more serious as a player. Also al capones tight relationship with jimmy is going to be a threat towards nucky in the episodes to come. Shits going to get intense, and then theres chaulky, who obviously has some discontent with nucky.

Best show on TV right now. Sunday's episode was top notch. Love it.

i remember when she wss talking to the maid and her saying it wasn't her and getting pissy about it, i never caught on to the fact it was a immigration letter i guess she must be over illegally then. One thing i did pick up in this episode along those same lines however was before the maid told her that her family was dead i thought? and this episode the maid told that guy she was fucking that her family disowned her, so put these two things together and it sounds as if she ran from her family or something bad happened over there i dunno, so there could be some interesting things to come from all of that

she asked for someone specific, and the lady said she had died 12yrs ago, then at the end of the episode that same maid, said something like ' I know that was you blah blah blah I wont tell anyone' then shcroeder made a sour pickle face and roll credits. I think the maid later claim she was disowned or somethign assuming that was her? idk in the immigration letter that was sent you see pictures of some dood two kids and a women.

That scene a couple episodes back when Jimmy's wife was sketching Richard was such an intensely great scene. Then later he was going to shoot himself. He's the best character on the show IMO. He conveys so much with relatively few lines and scenes.

Yeah he's great and that mask really sells it, what an amazing show. I see some great episodes coming over the next few years.

I think he's the most iconic character of the series, too. The only one that feels 100% unique to the show, and really defines it in a lot of ways. The way the camera focuses on him, sometimes mask side sometimes regular side, sometimes from the front and they're all different looks for the same guy depending on what they want in the scene. His anguish is palpable in just the lines he speaks and things he does without ever being direct. This show is crafty and complex, I love it. The other characters are great, Chalky White especially, but despite that they aren't so unique in that we've never seen gangsters on TV before. But Richard is a character you've never see the likes of in anything before. Kind of like R2D2 and C3PO of Star Wars.

I love that shot Richard made in Season 1, right after that dude was threatened saying he'll never know when he's gonna get it.
10 seconds later, boom. Waiters glass shatters and nails him right in the head with a .308 . Richard is a good shot for a dude with only half a face.

Well wouldn't a regular sniper close one eye anyway?

How the hell are you going to get an accurate sight picture with both eyes open?
Have you ever actually tried it with both eyes open?

Yes, I was more alluding to the fact that half of his face is missing. Apparently his dominant eye isn't.

One eye squinting, other eye in scope open is what I was always taught. Yes, I have. Though I don't own a scoped weapon. The idea is that you can acquire your target more easily this way. Google it. I do it with iron sights as well.

Yeah, that's pretty much one eye closed and the other open. Otherwise it's impossible to line up the sights since your eyes are about 3" apart.

It's not "pretty much," it's definitely both eyes open. Have you ever tried shooting that way yourself?

Yeah I think your right and I have heard that. You just have to have your weapon on your dominant side. There is an advantage with moar sightz yes!!!

Yes, didn't work out too well. Not even with an EOTECH or ACOG. Now I can shoot with either eye, but I'm primarily right eye dominant. But one of them has to be closed.
