Succulent I.d. request
    #15096741 - 09/18/11 05:55 PM (9 years, 7 months ago)

Hi I was wondering if anyone is good at succulent i.d.'s

This one is massive over 6 feet tall and clumping more than 6feet wide. has thicky woody stems that are hard to see in the picture.Took a cutting, and excreted alot of clear juice. Would this be related to the aloe family?

I know these are in the Echeveria family, I think, but thats as far I got with the i.d.

The guy I got this from said he acquired them from honolulu, but I have no idea what it is. puts out cool purple/pinkish roots.

Well thanks for looking

Thanks much. You got some great i.d. skills. Wont forget now
Did you recognize the genus first? I really need to study every genus if I ever have the time.

Cheers, I have them in my garden so it was relatively easy to recognize what they were. I'm hopeless with remembering all the specific names & variations etc, but can remember some of the more common genus's which then lead me to the specific names after a few mins of research/recapping what I've forgotten in books & online.
