Ditch the "heat bomb." Colonizing grain bags produce a lot of heat on their own. Room temp 68-78F is fine for colonizing grains & bulk.
Check the links in my signature for some tips on mono tubs & links to an easy bulk substrate recipe via Damion5050.
D's Coir tek is great for starters & is cheap. You can get coir @ your local pet store & a 5 gallon bucket for less than $10.
I like your little contraption but mono tubs are "set & forget." & don't need any help via a coolmist for RH.
I just keep my poly extreme loose in the holes & a small fan going in the room. 6500K lights on a 12/12 schedule. Also, colonizing grains, LCs, bulk, etc. benefit from indirect light during colonization.
Here's a few pictures of my mono tub set up:

Other side of the room, small blew fan on high 24/7:

GL can't wait, those bags look about ready.

IDK what that last contraption you have pictured there, but whatever it is, i highly doubt you need it.
with monotubs, you just need to mist and fan throughout the day and night. looks like youre trying to make this more difficult than it needs to be noobs do that a lot

Judging by the size of those holes, yes. I use 1 1/4" holes with 4 per long side and 2 on the ends with easy felt rather than poly fill and They get plenty of FAE. You are going to have to adjust your polyfill to the right tightness to maintain RH so they don't dry out but so that they get adequate FAE but that comes when you put them into fruiting

i would avoid easy felt. i had it on a half dozen tubs and ended up taking it off and going back to polyfil. pretty sure it was the easy felt was drying my substrate out.

works for me, but I have a considerably smaller area for fae in comparison to most of the monos I see on here.

Like I said, my holes are small by most standards. About 1 1/4" the area = ~1.8 in^2 doubling the hole radius increases the area by a larger factor (2.7 in this case) - eg. a 2.5" hole ~ 4.9 in^2. So it may well dry your sub out depending on the layout & hole size. Maybe doubling up on it or adjusting with tape. But generally when I make post here I will say 'this works for me' indicating it may not work for all due to environment, setup, etc.

true. we may live in totally different climates.
i wish felt worked for me, thats for sure. i might buy a pack of synthetic filter discs and tape those over the holes and see if that works. i like the flatness of felt vs polyfil lol. its smoother and cleaner. no fuzzy shit sticking out and sometimes falling out of the holes.

i would put polyfil in right away. thats what i always do and i always end up with mushrooms.

I tape mine up but my lids aren't super-duper tight so they get GE through the lids. A number of people here use tightly packed polyfill during colonization and then loosen it for fruiting.

The hole size is fine, like I said, you will just have to adjust the poly for fruiting to get FAE without drying things out. And you could do poly in a couple holes and tape the others if you feel so inclined.

I leave the holes taped for colonization & consolidation. Once ready to fruit, you remove the tape & replace w/ extremely loose poly w/ a small fan going in the room for FAE.
A 6500K light on a 12/12 schedule & it's complete set & forget.
You want extremely high CO2 levels during colonization & consolidation. Therefore, leave the holes taped & let the lid be your GE.
You should be between 10K-20K ppm CO2 during colonization & consolidation.
Most that use poly during colonization are wrapping the lid w/ saran wrap & using the poly for GE.
Also, you want the substrate to dry a bit during fruiting, because evaporating water from the surface of the substrate is the number 1 pinning trigger.

This answer is gold.
If it's a large tub that can't fit into a plastic bag I would follow these directions to a T. For smaller tubs, my personal favorite way to attain good co2 levels bagging the tub up. I open the bag up once a day for a few seconds to refresh the air. This seems to work well.. I had some dubtubs that I just put the top on the bottom tub (no polyfill, because no holes on the bottom tub). I actually ended up throwing THESE in plastic bags after I tried a few side by side.. the plastic bag method really seems to speed up colonization for me due to increased c02 levels.
Soem people will say this is outdated info, unnecessary, etc... To each their own.
But it doesn't look like your working with a mini by any means!
Good luck! Really anxious to see this fruited!

I've never had success w/ a pseudo casing layer. Just not worth it IMHO.
Next time you spawn to bulk, just dump the entire bucket in the tub Then the grains Then mix up.
Here's a few pics on how I do it: Dumped bucket in mono:

Dumped spawn over Coir:

Mixed & smoothed (by hand w/ gloves on):

Colonization (put into as seen above w/ lid on):

Also, why I don't use trash bags for colonization is that colonizing grains, LCs, bulk, etc. benefit from indirect sunlight. They colonized quicker & better.

Side note about the trashbags. I actually got a roll of the clear ones they use in retail stores (so you the workers don't steal shit).
IMO best of both worlds..co2 buildup, and light (that's IF you can fit your tub in one ).

sorry, OP.
Thought you were talking about colonizing in a trashbag. Now I realize, you're spawning into a trash bag.
OK. Yea. That'll help w/ side pins.
However, I've found just taping the exterior of the bottom 4 inches of the tub works too. Personally, I didn't like the hassle of the trashbag & the extra cost. Tape lasts for multiple uses. Just my

You don't have to put you can sterilize the poly before, if you want.

Hope you didn't open the tub to take the picture.
Remember HIGH CO2 levels during colonization & consolidation. Also, opening the lids opens the tub for contams.

You don't want the fan blowing directly on the tub.
Also, put the light above the tub, as the mushis will orient themselves towards it.

Good Luck. When I see the green. I trash bag the whole thing & run it outside. Dump it out & change my clothes & shore really well. Washing my clothes immediately.
Did it look like this?

Happens. I haven't lost a tub, personally. But I know how to dispose of them properly, as I have a friend that can only grow contams.

h2o2 won't do anything to trich, if you've got trich, chances are it's more spreadout through the tray than just the green spot. You're probably better off restarting.
I personally don't like bags for colonizing grain, I think filter patches are shit. I do use them for colonizing substrate with already colonized grain (say I bag full of woodchips). In that case it's fine, but I've noticed quite a high rate of contams with grain and bags. Contam rate is practically zero with jars and grain for me.

Also, put the light above the tub, as the mushis will orient themselves towards it.
Mushrooms do not need light to orient themselves, just gravity. However, they will tend to grow towards light sources. Check "Let there be light!" for some interesting info. I think they recommend the light at an angle so that your stipes receive just as much light and get all thick and juicy.
secondly, get the tub off the floor. the majority of contams in your house you stir around close to the floor with your feet.
