Around 82 to 84 F & 72% humidity, assuming the jars have one hole, less than 1/2 inch......................6T .............

from what i know, the substrate material shouldnt change the mushroom growing parameters. humidity is negligable and doesnt matter, the temp should be 84-86 for max speed.

Whats a good time frame for rye, A FOAF has shooken after 15% colonization, then at 80%. Its been about a week and a half since innoc. and half are about done, the other half probably have around 3-5 days left. Could the amount of water change this time period. They all appeared to be the same. Also the WBS started slowly but finshed atleast 3 days before the grain but this ws with GC and the grain being lipa and koh.

You might think about the humidity angle.

An enviro with high temp & ZERO humidity would cause jars to dehydrate very quickly.

Not a good thing.

It is not all that critical, if you use TYVEK filter material, as it holds humidity in .....well. Some other filter material does not.

6T............
