Q About Straw TEK...
    #15083672 - 09/15/11 04:44 PM (12 years, 6 months ago)

Those of you that do the Straw TEK a la RR video style...  Do you rinse the straw between the dish soap soak and the pasturization soak?

Thanks

So you just hose it down, or what?...  IIRC; RR suggests to soak in dish soap water for a couple of hours, then pasturize for 60~90 minutes...

Was curious if a rinse after the "wash" was ideal?

A rinse of the straw after a soap water soak ISN'T necessary.  I never do.

I am sure that I recall RR answering that question the same.

I believe that the soap is harmless or even nutritional to the growth.

Good luck,

JD

No problem skuz.....you were right, insofar as you went, as a rinse
would not be a problem either.  ;0)

Well, pretty quick here, I'll be heading out to snip straw 'til my hands falls off, lol...

Once again, thanks for the verification
