Hey just wondering if someone could tell me what this is its the first time i have ever seen this white crust stuff on mushrooms thanks

Looks like perlite or damp-rid to me which would only be a possibility if you bought them. If it's perlite just brush it off, if it's damp-rid I'd throw it away and find a new way to acquire them.

If you grew them and you know it's not perlite or damp-rid then I have no clue what it is.

I did not grow them they were purchased. these were the only ones out the batch that had this one them I used to grow and I know it is definitely not perlite. I have never used damp rid so i don't know what that would look like it does just rub off. I think I am just going to toss them to be on the safe side I was just seeing if anyone had seen it before. If anyone has any other ideas please let me know thanks again

Jesus people are lazy. Take pride in your hobby, ffs. If it were damp rid it wouldn't last very long and would have drawn water from the ambient air and made your mushrooms damp/wet. IMO I agree that it's perilite.

If it was tossed on top of some damprid, dried, thrown straight into a plastic baggie and only taken out long enough to look at and take a photo then it could survive. Maybe if you took some pride on your hobby you would know that your dried shrooms aren't given much access to air :P

I definately think it's perlite but damprid looks comparable to perlite only it's hard granules instead of being light and fluffy.

Really? I was saying that towards the fuck who grew them and seemingly tossed them around without cleaning or any sort of care whatsoever. Don't insult my intelligence.
