Just my thoughts... Totally opinion mind you...

Temps 40-60 F....
Rain for a few days
Average start in PNW is Oct 4 and season ends with first hard freeze.

But... I found them last year up to Dec 29.... And people have found them already in the PNW. We even heard of someone finding a spring flush I believe.
So... Like most things, just when you think there is a rule, something comes along and shows how little we know. Basically, they grow when they want too. But October and November typically are best months....

They have been found in the summer months when temps are as high as 70f when the conditions are right; cold nights and ample humidity such as in a fog zone. But usually in the bay area fruiting  starts around two weeks after p friscosa and peak in November.  Friscosa is up already in the north bay in irrigated patches; I assume because of the monsoonal moisture this past week.

50%.  Any less and I would call it medium humidity.

Here in the northern north san fran bay my outdoor beds started fruiting 2 weeks ago, when we had a week of cool foggy days... Now we got this heat wave of 90's, fogs been staying off shore, but ive been keeping them nice and moist & theyre still growing.. Hoping to have a birthday harvest!
