Instinct to "die"?

Is there a "will" to die?
Yes we are all going to die and in the end, we die. But a "will" to die?
Do we project our death off in other ways? Do we quench the urge to die?
I don't have a "want" to die. I dont know if it is in my subconscious either.

The thought is fleeting.
Then my instincts(or something) take over and I seek another meal.

Life implies death. We are presently dying to death as much as we are living from birth.
We are events, not objects.
Cell death is programmed into the body. So yes, there is a will to die.

I understand what you mean. By accepting the concept of Death as an inevitable we thereby forfeit our immortality? I've thought about that before. Seeing someone die firsthand for the first time recently shook me up and really made me realize how short life is... get out there and make the best of it!

Yes I think so. Maybe not for everyone however.

Sometimes I think that some people have a will do die to just get it over with. (I used to think like this personally)
Kinda like ripping a band-aid off. With the assumption that after all of it, there's nothing more to worry about.

Death intrigues me, it would be great if I could just visit, see what it was like and then come back to the living.

You dont "want" to die. You "have" to die. Oxygen is a poison.

I doubt it. It wouldn't be very advantageous from an evolutionary standpoint. There is always the exception of those who would rather end their life, likely due to suffering they experience.
