ahhhhh......this thread is symbolic for the faults of politics. people not thinking about what other people have to say, but rather trying to assert their ideologies on to the other.
politics shouldnt be like a hockey game, it should be like trading hockey cards
err......that analogy was pretty nonsensical.

Noam, welcome to the forum. Stick around! But it is true that even if much of what you write (and I for one am impressed) is an accumulation of what you've learned from your experience, it'll go a lot further on this site if you can support some of your claims with links or sources.
But while this ain't a court of law where we're forced to be non-human receptacles of logic and reason exclusively, NEITHER are we a church where we can make unfounded proclamatons of faith and have everyone yell, "Amen!" I like to see it as a happy medium, where both sides--intuition and logic--enjoy a place, tenuous as it may be.
My main beef isn't with the Bush regime, but with the ideologies that permeate them as well as their cronies, and thier alter egos. Still, I would appreciate some links or other sources to the outline you've presented.
Peace to you.

Inny, I've been linking it and now bumping it for people just like you. Do your best to read two or three lines at a time, and I'll do my best to keep linking it or bumping it. That way, by the year 2008, you'll finally get to the end.

Glad I could help.

Okay, joking aside: is that really your MO when it comes to people/their messages who come out in opposition to whatever side you feel aligned to? Especially when such oppositon shows so much evidence of having been given so much thought?

I only said that because the two posts that he had made contained more flames than substance. If someone cannot make a point without flaming I feel no need to respond to it. EDIT: also note that I only wanted to ignore him untill he calms down.

Well, z@z.com, I share your dream of a more zen-like world. And I also believe that any one of us is a more effective tool if we can keep our anger at a minimum. But sometimes we get a little passionate. Me, I was able to read through his passionate peace and get something out of it. Although between the two of us, I think he was trying to mix two things together--an emotionally charged criticism of how our latest war went, AND a very astute analysis of the multifaced coup of democracy that's been taking place over the past several decades. So maybe he should break them into two parts, eh? peace, hongomon edit: whoops, my bad--I thought you were talking about Goff, the auther of the post Rono posted. Sorry. As for Noam, I hope he chills and sticks around...

Okay, Harvester of Sorrow, I'll make this simple: You said, i have no idea what it said because i haven't got time to read it but for shits and giggles i'll just say i disagree and you're totally wrong. So I said that I would keep linking to it, and bumping it back to the front, so that you could read three, maybe four lines a day, and then by about 2008 you'll have read the whole damn thing. Get it? ps--man I could go for a bowl hit...
