I can't wait to see how this goes. I've got lots of jars colonized right now. One tub colonizing, and waiting on an impulse sealer to do bags. I'll be following this one closely. I'm a fan of g2g. Ever do a g2g from jar to bag?

i used 1 jar to do a G2G transfer to the 4 bags i had. 3 of the contaminated, 1 looked pretty good, so i spawned that one bag to the mini tub.

Good show anono, you're an inspiration to those of us who don't own a flow hood.  I like watching you and GM duel it out for meanest bulk grow, everyone wins.  Ive read both your grow logs but I can't find any mention of how you started out your spawn.  Do you have a  liquid culture lurking in the wings somewhere?  I can't Imagine you bought all those spore syringes.

Also how big is your glove box, I think many of us would enjoy seeing the proper way to g2g without a flowhood.

wow. i know surface evaporation is an important pinning trigger, but god DAMN i didnt know how fast it worked. i fruited a tub maybe 3 days ago, and never misted it once. i wanted to see if letting the substrate dry up a bit will make any noticeable difference in pinning.

and, it sure fuckin has. im starting to see tiny pins everywhere, not knotting, but actual pins. i probably wont mist the tub until more pop up and they grow a little bit, then ill mist and fan.

ive got so many tubs i can kind of play around with them and figure out what works best.

little update. fruited 3 more tubs. the 1 tub i fruited a few days ago has pins popping up in a few different areas on the sub.

i should have mushrooms in a week or so. and some pictures to go along with it.

im using a sunblaze 44 - (four 4 foot T5's)

20,000 lumens
6500K color temp

i think it was about 150 bucks when i bought it.

well this is whats left in my closet. the last 2 tubs will be fruited on september 30.



i think i lost one tub, but im not sure. in the mean time ive isolated the tub. the areas where the rye berries are on the surface of the substrate turned yellowish gold. ive never seen it before. it doesnt seem to be spreading, but IDK. im going to take a picture and post it to see if someone can tell me what to do with it.

its like the rye berries were contaminated or something. but it hasnt spread from where the exposed rye berries are, so idk what the hell it is. i tried taking some pictures:

sorry man i just now saw your question.

all of the PF Albinos were started from liquid culture.

i had a TC GLC from a previous grow, i tested it out on 2 half pint rye berry jars. 3 days later one had BAD green mold/trich and the other was healthy as a mofo. so i took the healthy one and did G2G to 6 quart jars, each of those went one more G2G transfer to around 70 new jars.

i shot up 7 jars from spore syringes, made one tub with a few of the jars, and did G2G with 1 or 2.

ill try to get a shot of the glove box for ya. its fairly tall and long and maybe 14 inches deep. i took a big coffee can and a torch, and heated the open end of the coffee can up and just pushed it through the plastic tub to make arm holes. works perfectly.

Since your light is on the side, is there a chance for a lot side pinning as opposed if the lights were right above the tubs?

ive never hung a light horizontally on my wall in any kind of grow. this light is designed for both horizontal and vertical installation. i chose horizontal because i didnt want to drill holes in my ceiling.

before this grow, i used sunlight that came in through the window. that worked just fine.

i used trash bags, which have shrunk with the substrate, so i highly doubt im going to have side pinning. the room is white, so light is reflecting into the tubs from almost every angle. but as far as i know, mushrooms dont grow toward the light like plants do. they just need that little bit of light to help initiate pinning.

Watching this one with interest. This is pretty much exactly how I planned to be doing things in the near future, except instead of G2G I'll be doing Turbinado LCs to WBS.

After I build a flowhood (after this grow) i'll start doing G2G and agar work, isolates, etc.
